As the Scholarly Communication Librarian at The University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus, Lori is responsible for Writing and Research Services (WRS), which includes the Writing and Research Centre (WRC) for undergraduate students and the Centre for Scholarly Communication (CSC) for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty, and staff. She is also the first point of contact for questions about copyright, the UBC institutional repository (cIRcle), and UBC Okanagan journals on the Open Journal Systems online publishing platform. Lori and Writing and Research Services provide support for the creation and dissemination of research products, through one-on-one consultations, workshops, bootcamps, and course instruction on academic writing, scholarly publishing, author’s rights, open access, cIRcle deposit, copyright, among other aspects of the scholarly communication life-cycle.
