Maggie Greene is an Assistant Professor of History at Montana State University, Bozeman. She is a specialist in modern Chinese history, with particular emphasis on cultural histories of the People’s Republic of China. Her research has been supported by a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad grant, as well as grants from Montana State University. Her current manuscript focuses on cultural reform and censorship in socialist China, and her next project considers the history of mountaineering in modern China. In addition, she maintains an active presence in game studies, where she is interested in exploring histories of analog and digital games in East Asia.
